Aveloya: We Are on the Right Track, Our Primary Goal is to Build a Competitive Team
ScoreFast365 August 25 - Recently, according to official reports from the Premier League, Fulham manager Aveloya praised his players' performances in the post-match press conference following the team's 2-3 loss to Chelsea, while also pointing out critical mistakes made during the match.
Aveloya stated: “We conceded goals at the three worst possible moments—the first minute of the match, stoppage time in the first half, and at the start of the second half. However, I am proud of the resilience and character the team showed. We should have achieved a better result, but football does not care about what you deserve; it only cares about the final score.” He emphasized that facing a strong team like Chelsea, the ease with which the opponent scored reflected basic defensive errors, stating, “We must be in the game from the first second; there is no room for negotiation on this.”
Aveloya remains optimistic about the team's future: “We are on the right track, and our primary goal is to build a competitive team, which everyone achieved tonight. I was particularly pleased with the performance of the young players; Josh King’s display was incredible, Gonzalo scored a goal, and Palacios also performed well. They fit perfectly into my tactical system and just need more time to grow to play more important roles in the future.”
